" Mark and his crew were professional, proactive, honest and communicated well throughout the project. We had them completely overhaul our mother in law suite, and not only did they execute their plan effectively, they made great suggestions along the way to improve it. Our project turned out better than we imagined. Mark responded well to any issues that arose and I recommend him without reservation for any work you may need done. " M. Wells, Takoma Park
We bought a lovely 1934 all brick house with slate roof in Baltimore in 2012. The house was very livable when we singed the paper work but could also use some updating. We wanted a new kitchen and a new master bath at the very least. However, if we were really dreaming, we would also move the stairs to the basement, change the back doors to a French door, and open a way to the living room from the kitchen. We decided to dream big with the idea that we could always cut back if necessary. With our plans in hand, we began talking to builders. We received two divergent bids that gave us pause. Then Mark Hendricks and 3-D Concepts were recommended to us by another builder. We met with Mark and immediately felt comfortable that he knew what he was talking about. He assured us that we could get our “big dream” within our budget and came back to us with a bid that confirmed this. Of course working on an old house, there were surprises, like the load-bearing wall under the hall bath that we had planned to move. Mark assured us that he could work with the structure. However, he and the architect agreed that with some changes, including redoing the hall bath we had put on hold, we could get a much better design. The change of plans cost more money but was still below the high bid we had received earlier. And with the changes we would double the size of our master bath with a large soaking tub and walk in shower, remodel the hall bath, get a completely new kitchen with a powder room, get our French doors to the back, and open up new stairs to the basement and a passageway to the living room. Our dream was becoming a reality. Mark and his team showed up when they said that they would show up, stuck with the now expanding project, and rolled with the changes. However, the best part for us is the attention to detail and unexpected craftsmanship with which they did everything. There were no cut corners. They took the time to replicate the coffers from the living room and dining room in the new kitchen. They detailed the floor boards to replicate the parquet floors in the rest of the house. They took the time to rip down the molding on the new doors to make sure it matched the molding on the old doors. And they created a banister for the new stairs that matched the banister on the main staircase in the front of the house. We are extremely pleased with the whole project and highly recommend Mark Hendricks and 3-D Concepts for this sort of large remodeling adventure." J. Brian O’Day and Janelle Cousino , Baltimore, MD.
